International Program

The international program is a dual degree program specialized in Applied Economics concentration held by the collaboration between MEP FEB UGM and the partner universities. This program carried out the odd semester of September each year. The students will complete one year study in the MEP FEB UGM and continue the second year study in the partner universities. The graduates of this program will be awarded with degree of M.Ec.Dev from MEP FEB UGM and the degree from different partner universities where they belongs.

  • National Graduate Institutes for Policy Studies (GRIPS): Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  • International University of Japan (IUJ): Master of Arts in International Development (MA)
  • Hiroshima University: Master of Arts (M.A.)
  • Takushoku University: Master of International Development (MIDS)
  • Kobe University: Master of Economics (M.Ec.)
  • Yokohama National University: Master of Economics (M.Ec.)
  • Ritsumeikan University: Master of Arts (M.A.)

This concentration provides insight and competence in the areas of strategy and the process of preparing Regional Development Planning and Budgeting, such as: preparation of vision, mission, development goals and targets, preparation of performance indicators, preparation of strategic plans, preparation of performance reports, control and evaluation of the implementation of regional development plans.

Requirements International Program

For international students who are interested in applying for a program offered, they should meet the eligibility below::

  1. Having a bachelor degree certificate.
  2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Non native English speakers must have a valid score of
    – IELTS from an institution recognized by IDP with a minimum score of 6.00 or
    – IBT TOEFL from an institution recognized by IIEF with a minimum score of 79.
    Valid certificates of those English proficiency tests are required to be enclosed
  4. If the candidates pass the administrative selection, they will be invited for an Interview.
